US quarters in the 50 state quarters program were minted 1999 through 2008, 5 states per year, in the order that the states were ratified into the Union.
The obverse of the coin was designed by John Flanagan, and features a bust of George Washington, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “LIBERTY”, “IN GOD WE TRUST”, and “QUARTER DOLLAR”. The reverse of the coins vary, as the designs were submitted by each state as part of the program, featuring 5 designs per year.
