The Details
The UnMinted Arbor Press Handle Bump Stop is a handy upgrade for your Arbor Press which allows quickly repositioning your handle without having to loosen / tighten the lock on the handle.
Simply remove the set collar from your arbor press pinion shaft and place the Bump Stop on the end of the rod. The Bump Stop is designed to snap onto the end of the pinion shaft – the magnet has 24lbs of pull force, so please be very careful with handling. The taper on the Bump Stop should drop over the bevel edge, which allows it to self-align.
To adjust the handle, lower the ram, then slide the handle to the right to disengage the gear and the teeth, rotate the handle into position, then slide the handle back to the left to reengage with the teeth. For additional height, while holding the ram in place, slide the gear out to disengage the teeth, raise the ram, then slide the gears back into the teeth.
IMPORTANT: While using the Bump Stop, you’re removing the set collar from your Arbor Press pinion shaft, therefore, it’s up to you to make sure that the gear teeth are ALWAYS fully engaged with the ram teeth while pressing in order to avoid slipping and potential injury. Use of the Bump Stop means that you understand this warning and accept full responsibility for keeping safe during use.
